International Shipping Policies and Customs Fees
1. Processing & Shipping
All Fusion Reactors items are made to order. Each light kit and conversion is built and tested specifically for collectors, so we need a little extra time to do it right.
• Processing & creation time: Please allow 4–12 weeks for us to create and process your order before it ships.
• Made-to-order policy: Because of the custom nature of our products, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded once the creation process has begun within this 4–12 week window. Materials, time, and components are committed to your build.
Once your order has shipped:
• You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number from Australia Post (auspost.com.au).
• For customers in the USA: Once your package enters the United States, you can usually track it with more detailed updates on the USPS website using the same tracking number or the local reference number shown in your tracking.
2. Customs Fees, Duties & Taxes (International Orders)
For international customers (outside Australia), please be aware:
• Customs fees, import duties, VAT/GST, and sales taxes are not included in the prices shown on fusionreactors.com.au.
• These charges are set by your local customs authority and/or the carrier, not by Fusion Reactors.
• You, as the recipient, are responsible for paying any customs/import fees or taxes directly to the carrier or customs office when required.
We strongly recommend contacting your local customs office before ordering to understand:
• Whether import duties or taxes apply to collectible lighting, hobby electronics, or similar items; and
• The approximate cost of those fees so there are no surprises when your parcel arrives.
We use product descriptions and customs codes that we understand to be appropriate for our items, but your local customs office may change the code or classification at their discretion. This can affect the final amount of tax or duty you are charged.
If you believe the customs charge or code is incorrect, you will need to contact your carrier and/or customs office directly to request a review or adjustment.
These customs/import fees are:
• Not charged by Fusion Reactors;
• Not refundable by us, even if you choose not to pay them; and
• Not a valid reason for cancelling an order that has already shipped.
3. Refused, Unpaid, or Abandoned International Shipments
If a package is sent internationally and:
• You refuse the delivery due to customs/import fees or taxes; or
• You do not pay the required fees; or
• The carrier or customs office is unable to deliver and the parcel is abandoned;
then the following applies:
1. If the parcel is returned to Fusion Reactors:
• The carrier may charge return shipping, handling fees, and/or customs reversal fees.
• Any such charges billed back to us may be deducted from any refund we are able to offer.
• In most cases we can only refund the product cost (not the original shipping cost), and only after the parcel has arrived back and been inspected.
2. If the parcel is not returned to Fusion Reactors:
• If the shipment is abandoned, destroyed by customs, or otherwise not returned to us, it will be treated as lost.
• In this situation, no refund will be issued, as the goods and shipping costs are no longer recoverable.
This policy is in place because international returns and refusals can generate significant costs and we have no control over how customs and carriers handle unpaid shipments. It does not remove any rights you may have under applicable consumer laws in your country, but it does set expectations for customs-related refusals and abandoned parcels.
