How to Use:

• Carefully plan your cable routes before peeling any adhesive. Make sure the cabinet glass and metal surfaces are clean and dry.

• Peel the backing from the LED strip or light bar and press it firmly along the inside frame or edge of the Detolf (or display cabinet). Hold for a few seconds so the adhesive bonds properly.

• Avoid bending the LED strip sharply at corners or directly on top of LEDs. Use gentle curves or designated bend points only.

• Route the cables neatly down one corner of the cabinet, using the included clips or cable ties where provided.

• Connect the LED strip plug to the main splitter or lead cable, then connect that to the DC power cable.

• Plug the DC cable into your 12V, 2A power adaptor (sold separately), then plug the adaptor into a wall socket.

• Turn the switch, dimmer, or inline controller (if included) to the ON position and adjust brightness as desired.

Warning and Safety Manual:

• Do not use a power adaptor that exceeds 12V, 2A output. Higher voltages may damage the lights and create a safety risk.

• Do not cut or modify the LED strips or wiring unless the product page specifically states it is safe to do so.

• Do not run cables where the cabinet door or glass panels will pinch them; this can damage insulation and cause shorts.

• Keep all power adaptors and cables away from water, moisture, and extreme heat sources.

• Do not pull hard on the cables, tug on connectors, or frequently plug/unplug them, as this may cause damage over time.

• If you notice any exposed copper, damaged insulation, or a burnt smell, disconnect power immediately and stop using the kit.

Safety Tips:

• These lighting kits are intended for adult collectors and are not suitable for children under 15 years of age.

• Use the lights under supervision and avoid leaving them on for very long periods. For the longest lifespan, we recommend using them in sessions (for example, a few hours at a time) rather than 24/7.

• Ensure your display cabinet is stable, level, and not overloaded with weight before installing lighting.

• Do not place fabric, paper, or other flammable materials directly on top of the LED strips or power adaptors.

Troubleshooting:

• No lights come on:

  • Check that the power adaptor is firmly plugged into the wall and switched on.

  • Make sure the DC plug is fully inserted into the main cable and any splitter.

  • Confirm that any inline switch, dimmer, or controller is in the ON position.

• Only part of the strip or one shelf is not lighting:

  • Make sure all connectors between sections/shelves are fully seated and not reversed.

  • Check that no cable is pinched by the door or frame.

• Flickering or inconsistent brightness:

  • Ensure the 12V, 2A power adaptor is being used and not an underpowered supply.

  • Check that all connections are tight and that the strip is not damaged or bent sharply.

• Adhesive not sticking well:

  • Clean the surface with a mild, non-oily cleaner and allow to fully dry before reapplying.

  • Press the strip firmly along the length and add extra clips or cable ties if needed.

Recommended:

• Power adaptor: 12V, 2A DC output (sold separately)

• Optional: adhesive cable clips or ties to keep wiring tidy along the cabinet frame

• Avoid using “fast charge” USB adaptors or multi-voltage laptop chargers, as they may not provide the correct 12V DC output for this kit.
